Kumbhi Lake!

Kumbhigram, the airport of Silchar in Assam has a man-made lake where I used enjoy my boating. The hanging dark clouds, always threating to burst into a torrential downpour and the trees in the tea garden were a treat to watch-photograph and paint....after 4 years!

Nostalgic memories of not so long back. Boating is out now. However the rest remains as it is....the clouds, the torrential downpours, the trees, the walkway...everything. And this everything has been beautifully captured, specially the color of light on a cloudy day.

Hi Anand, thanks for visiting.
Very impressive and interesting work here, loved them all! The cloudy day is well captured in this post with the right amount of hues and details.
Ps, I am also from Bangalore and the name Madapusi rings a bell, my grandfather was Madapusi Sham Iyengar!
