The mystic nature of waterfalls presents an excellent topic for painting. Here i have tried to capture Hogenakkal falls in Dharmapuri, Tamilnadu. I drew the inspiration to attempt this after seeing a demo of a Dhuadhar falls painted by Bijay Biswaal at Chitrakala Parishath (Bangalore) sometime back. The exotic banana flower is used extensively in South Indian and South east Asian cuisine. It evokes memories from my childhood when we used to peel the flower and separate the edible portion of the flowerets. It is full of nutrients. Banana plant is one in which all the parts, the fruits, stem, flower and the leaves are useful. I painted it more for its vibrant colours! watercolour on hand made paper 10 x 14 ".
