the myriad of colours and reflection that throws up when paddy is transplanted is something to remember forever! mostly in India this is done by women.. the water logged fields and the young green paddy saplings and lastly the unspoken race to the finish line..... 30 X 22 inch water colour on paper!

Oh! Oh! I absolutely LOVE this! I wish I could have painted it! I wish I could have been there to see this scene... It's wonderful.
Mr Anand, wanted to thank you for your kind words on my blog today...and that I have now "found you". Look forward to seeing more of your work.
One of the most day to day life scenes in India. But a very powerful and beautiful scene.
Its a huge size work for a watercolor! The scene is as authentic as could be. The colors in the sarees and their reflection is amazing.
Oh, my aching back! Just joking, this is a fantastic slice of life in your part of the world. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Well done!
beautiful Anand,my long day wish is to paint this, you made it alive and wonderful
This is so evocative of the water, the climate - just beautiful. I can almost feel the ache in those women's backs!
Well done!
Cheers,
Cindy

I just came by your blog, after you visited me..Your work is amazing/ love it and will be taking time to see all so don't be surprised if you hear from me again.
Beautiful painting Anand..so much details went into this piece. Wonderful colors!
It's totally gorgeous! What a great subject! It must be quite a spectacular scene to witness. They could all do with some wellington boots!
Lovely watercolour. Enjoyed this.
thank you for all your comments and critiques!
I just found your blog. I really enjoyed looking at your paintings, especially the scenes of life around you.
To bring out life in paddy fields - very difficult but you have done it with ease. The posture of harvesting women is as it is difficult to bring out and naturally this is what I liked most. It is very difficult I know to get the correct posture.
Wonderful! The composition is great as is the brushwork. I love that you worked big.
This is beautifully composed and rendered. I'm glad I found your blog.
