liliac roller

On my trip to Delhi I came across this bird "liliac-breasted roller" in a magazine...couldnt stop myself from painting the bird and the thorned bush with watercolours and some oil pastels.  Mixed media 21 X 14 inch.

stone roofs

Planned to paint the stone roof houses in Himachal, but could not find the photograph I clicked earlier....so picked this picture from a web site which was about a trek to Rupin pass! I was not very impressed with my foreground work, but had fun painting the water colour. 29 X 21inch.

Kumbhi Lake!

Kumbhigram, the airport of Silchar in Assam has a man-made lake where I used enjoy my boating. The hanging dark clouds, always threating to burst into a torrential downpour and the trees in the tea garden were a treat to watch-photograph and paint....after 4 years!

kamzwal knights

A long forgotten image in my memory which i dug out from my collection of photographs.  The horse were grazing the high ground above Kamzwal helipad in Mizoram. The fog was a perfect background for these horses. Water colour on paper, 29X21inch, Jul 2010

sunny delight!

A newspaper photograph showing the golden glow of sun through the forest got me to pick up my brushes.  Had real fun while painting the beaten road and the smaller trees in the far end!  Water colour on paper 29X21inch, Jun 2010.

cinnerias

These cinnerias with their voilets, mauves and magentas were a wonderful spread against the background of my boundary wall. On the foreground are a few calendulas. Couldnt resist pulling out my Saharanpur chair to the garden and started painting in the Noida winter....water colour on paper 29X21 inch.
