Dhruv Wheeled Prototype Demo Helicopter. Along with the skid version of ALH Mk III, HAL also manufactures Wheeled version. This ALH is used for flight testing of systems to be integrated on the Wheeled version. I differentiated this with some changes as compared to the skid version. Advanced Light Helicopter (Dhruv Skid version) (ZD-4164). When i joined Hindustan Aeronautics Limited more than a decade ago, i got a chance to put my artistic skills to good use. This is HAL's first prototype and Demonstration helicopter that was to stay on for all future integration and flight test of ALH MkIII systems. Starting with line drawings from the designers, i built up the colour scheme on GIMP Studio and then approved the colour swatches. It was exciting to see my design and colour scheme on a flying helicopter for the first time! The icing on the cake was i would fly it too!
